The Boy Setanta has finally been completed and touring the festival circuit. 'It took over 2 years to make 3'40" of footage but the learning curve has been great'. A move into feature directing is now the target. |
The Boy Setanta is a short animation produced entirely by Robert kelly. It is his take on the ancient tale of the boy Setanta who eventually becomes the great Irish hero CuChulainn. This is the lead up to his battle with the Smith Chulains' Hound where Setanta subsequently makes his name as the 'hound of Chulain'. This film is being made entirely through Blender3D, the very powerful open source 3D modelling, Animation and compositing tool.
