I'd like to thank everyone involved in the production of this short film Its been a long road - almost two years since conception. The film is currently touring the festiavl circuit. The main cusp of the shooting took place in Carlow town Shooting also took place in thel Dolmen-Hotel just outside Carlow town. Our story begins here as our cast realise that all is not as it seems. The hotel will appear empty, thanks to the help of management, as our cast begin their journey into the unknown. The Roadhouse cafe in Carlow town also provided us with an excellent location for a key scene. The Carlow Town Shopping Centre will be closed off to us for a number of days to shoot another key scene and we have the support of Empire Records to bring this film to life. Shooting carried on - Ardmore Studio's C stage and green screen facilities were the location for the big crowd scene where we will replicate an 'Alien Arena'. Feidlim Cannon, John Mulvey and James Cosgrove cast as the main charcters. Sarah Carroll has added her name to the list as the female lead. BP productions have come on board to produce this ambitious script and bring their expertise to the table. Directed by Rob Kelly and Produced by local Carlow writer, Pauric Brennan, Effigy Road will bring stunning locations together with CGI to give an entertaining Sci-Fi short for all lovers of the genre. Carlow town will be change forever with the help of CGI, as our visitors take over and destroy all they come in contact with. More news to follow...
